Microsoft Internet Explorer Automatic Login Setup

To setup your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser to automatically login to Department Course Planning using the same user name and password that you used to login to your computer, follow the instructions below. You must logon to your computer using active directory for this to work.
Note: Micorsoft Internet Explorer is not needed to use Department Course Planning, any modern browser can be used.
  • From the Tools menu click on Internet Options.
  • Click on Security tab.

  • Click the Local intranet icon in the "Select a zone to view or change security settings" window area.
  • Click the Sites button which brings up the Local intranet window shown below.

  • Click the Advanced button which brings up the add intranet site window shown below.

  • Add https://registrar.illinoisstate.edu in "Add this website to the zone:"
  • Click the Add button and then the Close button.
  • Click the OK button in the Local Internet window.
  • In the Internet Options Security tab window click the Custom level... button.
  • Scroll to the bottom of Settings.

  • Under User Authentication, Logon, click on "Automatic logon only in Intranet Zone."
  • Click the OK button.
  • The credentials used to log into your computer will now be passed automatically to the website, so you don't have to login.
