Course Registration Information

Before You Begin

You can register for classes at any point after your assigned enrollment appointment. Courses are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, so registering as soon as possible is recommended. You can find open enrollment dates and your enrollment appointment (individual registration date/time) in the Enrollment Dates section of your Student Service Center.

  1. Go to and log in.
  2. Log in to your Student Service Center.
  3. Click the Student Service Center tab at the top of the page.
  4. In the Enrollment Date section (right-side), click on the Details link to view your date and time.
  5. Click “change term” to view enrollment appointment information for other terms that are available.

Your enrollment appointment is not an appointment with your advisor. Advisor appointments will need to be scheduled separately, ideally prior to your enrollment appointment date.

Clear Holds and To-Do List Items

Prior to registration, ensure that all Holds have been cleared and all necessary items on your To-Do List have been completed (i.e. Financial Responsibility Agreement). If you have Holds or To-Do's you could be blocked from registering. You can see Holds and To-Do items in your Student Service Center.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Go to and log in
  2. Log into your Student Service Center
  3. Holds and To-Do items will be on the far right.

To Register for Classes

  1. Go to and log in.
  2. Log in to your Student Service Center.
  3. Click Enroll under the Academics section to bring up your shopping cart. You will put courses into your shopping cart and add them at the end.
  4. At the Enroll page, click on the Search tab on the top left of the page.
  5. Select a department and either hit Search or enter in a specific Course Number.
  6. Click the section for which you want to register by clicking the green Select button.
    • If the course has a lab, after you select the lecture, you will be prompted to pick the lab associated with this course.
  7. Review the course details.
  8. Click Select Class and Next on the next page to add the course to your shopping cart.
  9. Repeat for all courses.
  10. Click back to the Enroll tab to see courses in your shopping cart.
  11. Click on Proceed to Step 2 of 3.
  12. Click on Finish Enrolling to complete the registration process. (If you do not finish this last step, your courses will remain in your shopping cart and you will not be registered).

Course Override Request

If you need an override (department permission) to enroll in a specific course, you can make your request online through  The online request form will be under the Academics tab in the Course Manager section.  Your request will be reviewed and you will be informed if the override was granted so that you may register for the course.

More Information

  • Some courses have multiple sections offered with different times and locations. If one section does not work for you, another might.
  • If you register for a course and later decide not to take it, you can drop the course or swap the course for another course through Each semester, there is a cutoff date after which you can no longer drop a course and receive a refund. Review registration dates and deadlines.
  • Courses for which there are no available seats will not appear when you search for them as long as the Show Open Courses box is checked, even though the course might be listed in Course Offerings.
  • You can review course descriptions and plan of study requirements by using the Course Catalog.
  • Once you have registered and instructors and textbooks have been assigned, you can view your textbooks in My Class Schedule under View Textbook Summary when the List View box is checked.

  • Search available courses in the directory, by subject or department/school.
  • Get course descriptions, instructors, times, days of the week, locations, and credit hours.

Your Student Service Center Planner will help you to manage courses you wish to register for:

  • Log in to
  • Log in to your Student Service Center.
  • Click the Student Service Center tab at the top of the page.
  • Under the Academics section, select the Plan link.
  • In your planner you will be able to browse the course catalog and add courses to your planner.
  • When it is time for you to register, you can use your planner to assist you in enrolling in your desired courses.
