ALEKS Placement Result

ALEKS provides your score immediately after you complete the placement. Your overall score will be a number between 0 and 100. This represents the percentage of topics you have mastered.

Results are valid for 18 months.

Next Steps

Once you receive your results, make an appointment with your advisor and enroll in the appropriate math class that corresponds with your score and major.

Your score is automatically added to your student profile, which is accessible by your advisor. Your advisor can help you select the math course that corresponds with your score and major. View the University catalog to see what math courses are required for your major

Course Placement

You must achieve the minimum placement result to take each corresponding class. Your placement will be verified by the math department before the semester begins.

The chart below provides a sample of math course placement based on your interested major. Minors will also impact your final math course placement. You should speak with your academic advisor before making a final course selection.

Improve your chances for success in your math course. The Prep and Learning Module is an individualized review and provides learning features to help you get a better score on your ALEKS assessment.

Retake ALEKS (Optional)

If you want to improve your score, you can retake ALEKS up to four times. You must wait 48 hours between assessments and spend time in your Prep and Learning Module.
