At this time, the University is planning to return to a traditional campus experience for the 2021-22 academic year. It is expected that the majority of courses will be offered in-person, students will be living in on-campus housing, and engaging in in-person activities, events, and out-of-classroom experiences.

Tuition and mandatory fees have been set regardless of the mode of instruction and cover a variety of short- and long-term expenses which continue regardless of the instructional mode or access to campus facilities. The mode of instruction may be adjusted. Tuition and fees will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely or the mode of instruction changes for any part of the 2021-22 academic year. Illinois State University will continue to follow published withdrawal and refund policies concerning tuition and fees.
