Please pay careful attention to your registration start time as there are multiple start times (ex. 8:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.). Registration dates and times are determined based on the number of credit hours you have earned (not including your in-progress credits). Please note, this is not an advisor appointment, if you have not made an appointment to discuss your fall courses, you can schedule an appointment via your My.IllinoisState.edu portal.

You can register and make changes to your schedule any time on or after your specific registration date and time by clicking on the Register for Classes link found under the Academics tab in My.IllinoisState.edu. Beginning August 26, you will need a closed class override from the department offering the course to add or switch sections of a course. Fall registration concludes at 10 p.m. Friday, September 1.

Summer registration dates are now available in your My.IllinoisState.edu portal.
Advanced registration begins at 8 a.m. Monday, February 20, and will end at 10 p.m. Monday, May 22. To register for a course after May 22, please fill out the Late Registration Request Form in your My.IllinoisState.edu account. You can also come in person to Moulton 107 with a photo ID to add course(s) to your schedule.

Students need a course permit (override) to register for any course that has started. To request an override, please submit the Override Request form found in your My.IllinoisState.edu portal. If the override is approved, you can then fill out the Late Registration Request Form in your My.IllinoisState.edu account. You can also come in person to Moulton 107 with a photo ID to add course(s) to your schedule.
If you need added to a course that has not yet started, simply fill out the Late Registration Request Form in your My.IllinoisState.edu account.

Register for A Winter Session Course
Illinois State University offers online accelerated Winter Session courses to continuing students. Students are limited to enrolling in one class per Winter Session. Students on academic probation are not eligible to enroll. Credit hours taken during the Winter Session will be applied to the spring semester's total academic load. Winter Session courses cannot be repeated in the following spring term. Grades are posted at the conclusion of the spring term.

Courses are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend registering as soon as you can.
Some courses have multiple sections offered at different times and locations. If one section is full or doesn't work with your schedule, check for more offerings.
Some classes might require permission from the instructor for you to enroll.
To make a request:
You'll be informed by email if your request is granted.
If you register for a course and decide you don't want to take it, you can drop the course or swap it with another one during the online registration period.
